Summer house institute responds to the national teacher shortage

At Summer House Institute, we believe that the issues with our US public schools can not be resolved overnight, but as with anything, change takes a collective investment.

There needs to be an increased focus on investing in more teacher pipelines like ours at Summer House.

We are working to build a strong university-to-school district model to attract more Black male undergraduates to teaching careers and create a stronger pipeline that explores the breadth of possibilities in being an educator.

We stand in advocacy of higher teacher pay, innovative school redesign, and more early exposure opportunities for college students.
