WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE

SUMMER HOUSE
INSTITUTE.

INSPIRING, DEVELOPING, AND GROWING THE NEXT GENERATION OF BLACK MALES WORKING IN THE PUBLIC EDUCATION SECTOR.

Summer House Institute exists to grow and develop young Black men who will soon finish college and enter the job force. We believe that an affinity-based learning (“cohort”) model best prepares our Summer House Institute members to significantly contribute to K-12 public education through service work and early exposure to the education field.

Throughout the week, cohort members (CM’s) will learn from SHI leaders culminating in Professional Development on Fridays. This will allow CMs to take time to reflect, question, and engage further with the core themes from each week.
